Ho Ho Horsham will get you in the Christmas Spirit

Christmas can be a stressful time of year, as you wrestle with the crowds to get the last remaining stocking fillers for your distant relatives. And that’s before you’ve even thought about the turkey! So it’s good to know you can get everything you need in Horsham this festive season.

According to the town centre promotions, being in Horsham is ‘time well spent’. That’s probably because, when it comes to shopping, the market town has something for everyone. There are four main areas; Swan Walk, Piries Place, The Forum, and West Street. Parking is pretty easy too, with a handful of convenient places that are all just a stone’s throw from the bustling streets.

Once again many of the town’s retail businesses are taking part in the ‘Dressed for Success’ initiative, which encourages those with a shop front to dress their windows in a festive fashion. Many of them go all out with snowy scenes, seasonal decorations and, of course, plenty of twinkling lights. It all adds up to make the town the place to be to get you and the whole family in a merry mood this December.

For gifts, it’s a great place to get everything you need. If you’re looking for jewellery, head to Wakefields Jewellers, for fashion, you can shop in the likes of Beales department store or at independent boutique La Vida. Or if it’s more music, movies and books you need, the town boats a large HMV and Waterstones.

If you still feel the need to escape the atmosphere of the buzzing town centre, there are plenty of places around the town where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the country. Traditional pubs like the Black Horse and the Sussex Oak, both of which have a roaring fire, are perfect at this time of year.
