Each summer is a chance to spend more time with our families and enjoy local events. As the Horsham District Council plan a lot of entertainment for the town centre, and The Capitol on North Street puts on a number of shows, there’s lots on offer!

Whilst a full schedule of what’s on can be found on their website, we wanted to take a closer look at the venue’s dance events for July as they’re looking particularly energetic!

Rhythm of Dance

On the 8th and 9th of the July, the Horsham School of Dance are back at the Capitol following a range of successful shows. The students are highly skilled in their performance of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, based on the popular novel by C. S. Lewis.

Tickets can be booked for £15 for starting times of 6.30PM on the 8th and 9th of July, with a matinee at 1.00PM also on the Saturday; perfect if you’re already in town enjoying the weather.

The show will include a range of dance genres, including Tap, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary. The Capitol describe it as ‘unmissable’ and we have to say we agree! You can really see the passion of the Horsham School of Dance students shine throughout the show.

Rhythm Of The Dance

Rhythm of The Dance UK Tour 2016

If the first show only makes you hungry for more dance, then on the 13th of July we suggest you make a return to The Capitol for the Rhythm of The Dance UK Tour 2016. The seasoned Celtic Step group are making there way to Horsham from Ireland to showcase the best of Irish dance and the ancient Sean Nos style.

Supporting the Celtic Step are the very talented Young Irish Tenors and a traditional Irish band; the dancers will move to the music and create a truly special display to capture your attention. At £24, it’s great value for money and as an internationally popular show it’s something a little different to enjoy close to home.

For tickets, contact the box office on 01403 750220 or book online.
