Comedy at The Capitol: Have a Laugh this September

Barnstormers

It may feel like summer ended before it even began, but us Brits are pretty good at seeing the funny side of things. As we leave the ‘warm season’ and head into autumn, The Capitol have announced a trio of comedy events for September.

Sure to make you laugh and and liven up your weekends, head to The Capitol and get ready to cry tears of joy at the comedy range on offer:

ComeOnMySofa

John O’Sullivan, Sat 3rd September

In aid of St Catherine’s Hospice, John O’Sullivan returns to Horsham to perform for the first time in six years. His show, “Come on my sofa”, is a naughty comedy style chat show that the comedian has been touring throughout the UK.

The Horsham native is known for his brash style and occasionally wearing high heels.

Tickets: £13.00. Show starts at 8pm

Barnstormers

Barnstormers Comedy, Sun 18th September

The Barnstormers Comedy team are based in East Sussex and are pros when it comes to making you laugh. Presenting stand-up shows for fifteen years, three live acts will take the stage with an energetic MC making sure there’s never a dull moment.

With multiple acts and no holds barred, it’s just for the over 18s so is ideal for adults looking to relax and work out their funny bones at the weekend! With all of the regular touring comedians being popular on the London circuit, you don’t have to travel far for top quality entertainment that’s some of the best in the industry.

Tickets: £10.00 in advance. £12.00 on the night. Show starts at 7.30pm. Over 18’s only.

Comedy songs

Probably the Best Comedy Songs in the World Ever, Maybe… Sat 24th September

Now for something a little bit different… instead of a stand-up routine, Pat Abernethy and Dave Marsden perform a host of comedy songs, including top hits from The Pythons, The Goons and Noel Coward.

All music is centred around the piano and you’ll also be treated to unique and dramatic renditions of Elvis Presley and Righteous Brothers songs. Time Out called it “an evening of consistent laughter”. So, what are you waiting for?

Tickets: £12.00. Show starts at 7.45pm

All booking information for the performances can be found on The Capitol’s website www.thecapitolhorsham.com.
