SUMMARY:Trafalgar Community Infant School Summer Fete
DESCRIPTION:Trafalgar Community Infant School\, Victory Road RH12 2JF are holding their annual Summer Fete on Saturday 24th June from 1-4pm. This year\, there will be a fabulous circus theme throughout the fete\, including some amazing dancers; a circus entertainer from Circus Allstars and the world famous ‘Moana’! \nThere will be a BBQ\, tea\, coffee & cakes and\, of course\, the essential bar for all the grown ups! For little people there will be loads of stalls\, including candy floss\, face painting\, old fashioned games such as tin can alley and a bouncy castle. \nA raffle will be drawn around 3:30pm with some amazing prizes including a Samsung Tablet; loads of family days out (including Hobbledown\, Amberley Museum\, Drusillas and Leeds Castle to name a few) and many hair and beauty prizes! \nWe are raising money to buy the school 3 ‘Clevertouch’ Interactive Whiteboards\, which the school desperately needs. We are aiming to raise £11\,500 and the Summer Fete will hopefully go some way towards this total! \nThe school – like many others in West Sussex – is in dire straits due to being massively underfunded. This year\, West Sussex children received £44m less than the national average and £200m less than the average London borough. The school finances are so bad that they are having to consider various types of action\, including stopping any investment in books and IT equipment. \nWe really look forward to seeing you there\, to help us raise as much money as possible for our children!

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 9th April 2017\, local charity The CoCo’s Foundation are hosting a charity bike ride to raise £3\,000 for orphaned families in The Kwazulu Natal region of South Africa. Donations raised by cyclists and their supporters will go towards building houses and supporting children affected both directly and indirectly by AIDs. \nThe bike ride will start at 9am from the front of Bluecoat Sports Health and Fitness Gym\, based in Christ’s Hospital\, with several staff and gym members taking part. It continues the fundraising efforts of the club\, which in the last year hosted a range of charity and fundraising evenings for CoCo’s\, including a Jive Night\, Salsa in the City event and a stall at the club’s popular Fitness Showcase.

DESCRIPTION:Technogym Let’s Move campaign is a global fitness\, fundraising event and this year\, local sports club Bluecoat Sports are taking part to raise money for physical health in the local community. The club already uses the technology to allow members to track their fitness digitally from a range of fitness machines\, and from the 13th to the 31st March 2017\, the tracked activity all of members will join forces with gym members over the world to raise donations. \nOver the two week period\, members are encouraged to try for personal bests and the aim for Bluecoat Sports is to gain as many moves through MyWellness. There are substantial prizes up for grabs which will benefit members. This is in addition to the hopeful growth in team spirit and encouragement from everyone to reach new fitness goals. \nAfter the event\, the club will get the opportunity to donate a piece of Technogym equipment to where it’s needed most spreading the word on fitness. All fitness movements will be logged on a cloud-based platform and released after the event. \nIf you’re a member\, ask staff at the club for further details and if you’re thinking of joining\, have these dates in mind as extra motivation! \nMembers only event.

DESCRIPTION:For six months from the 3rd April take part and enjoy free historic walking tours of Horsham\, hosted by The Horsham Society and supported by Horsham Disctrict Council. The free guided tours will start from outside the Museum every Wednesday and Sunday throughout April to 28th September. \nTaking you through the most interesting historical points around the town centre\, each walk lasts roughly one and a half hours. The tour is wheelchair friendly but it is asked that no dogs other than guide dogs attend. \nBefore the walk\, why not make time to explore the Museum exhibitions? \nBooking information\nTo avoid disappointment book ahead by calling the Horsham Visitor Information Centre on 01403 211661. They’ll want to know details of numbers involved and this needs to be done before the day of your chosen tour. \n*Walks are intended to go ahead even in bad weather but if a tour guide has not arrived by 2.45pm then your tour may be cancelled.
