Santander team win Horsham Pancake Race

The people of Horsham flocked to the Carfax yesterday, Tuesday 17th February to watch the annual Charity Pancake Race organised by The Rotary Club of Horsham. With TV presenter Dave Benson-Phillips as race commentator the event is always a lively and enjoyable one.

Amongst the competitors this year were Halifax Bank, Spofforths, Sainsbury’s, St Catherine’s Hospice, Dame Vera Lynn Trust, Pavilions in the Park, Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre, Bluecoat Sports, Samaritans, Aspect 8, Saxon Weald, Guy Leonard, B52’s, Hamptons International, Beales, Harris Lord and more.

We managed to corner some local business teams for a group shot

The teams that made it through to the dramatic semi-finals were the West Sussex County Times’ squad ‘Shrove Newsday’, and groups from Spofforths, Hamptons International and Santander.

In the nail biting finale Santander stole the flippin’ title and raised a whole lot of money for their chosen charity. See them pictured below jumping for joy at the news!
