One Night of Elvis, The Capitol

A great night out for fans of the ever-popular Elvis Presley, The Capitol have attracted Europe’s most successful tribute artist, Lee Memphis King. As close as you’ll get to the real thing, Lee performs everyone’s favourite songs from Can’t Help Falling in Love to Jailhouse Rock, all with Presley’s trademark smooth moves.

You can book the show in advance for the 13th February and guarantee yourself a swinging 60’s throwback!

Acoustic Showcase, The Queens Head

If you fancy a trip to Barn’s Green, make sure it’s for the acoustic showcase featuring Andrew Hyldon, Amy Whiter, Claire Sullivan and Trevor Clawson. Organised by Dave Grout from the Barns Green Music Festival, this traditional British pub hosts a music event on the first Wednesday of every month to raise money for local charities.

Head to the Queen’s Head for 7pm and enjoy an entertaining evening of local talent. No booking required but get there early to guarantee a seat.

The Manchester Piano Trio, The Drill Hall

A true musical extravaganza to kick-start your weekend, The Manchester Piano Trio are performing at The Drill Hall in Horsham on the 13th February. They’re one of the UK’s most respected and sought after chamber ensembles, famed for their instrumental talent.

The main player of the trio is the prize winning Principal Cellist, Nicholas Trygstad. Surely two highlight pieces for classic ears in the audience will be Beethoven’s Piano Trio Op.70 No.2 and Mendelssohn’s D minor Piano Trio. Find more information and book here.

Horsham Garden Music Festival, Horsham Park

Our one to watch out for in the summer is the popular Horsham Garden Music Festival. Taking place in Horsham Park’s Human Nature Garden, a large stage hosts local music groups of all ages showcasing vocal skills and instrumental abilities. As they’re unsigned acts and solo artists, it’s a great event to sing-along to chart hits and pop classics.

Want to get involved? Auditions are starting for the event in February and due to the success of last year’s event, you’ll need to register by emailing [email protected]. If you prefer to listen and enjoy the catering tents in the sunshine, just turn up in July (exact dates to be confirmed).
