Have Your Say on Swan Walk’s Remodel Plans

carfax in Horsham, West Susse

This weekend the Swan Walk shopping centre is inviting Horsham residents to review their refurbishment and remodelling plans, allowing the public to have their say.

The viewing is scheduled to take place in Unit 29, between The Body Shop and Clintons on Friday 18th March 11am to 4pm and Saturday 19th March from 10am to 3pm.

During this time, a model will be on display to help visualise the changes and highlights the biggest expansion plans.

Development of Swan Walk

As part of the refurbishment, Swan Walk will unveil a new state of the art multiplex cinema, additional restaurants and new retail units. This will bring the centre up to date and increase local services.

Horsham Blueprint will also be at Swan Walk running a workshop on the future of Horsham, focusing on their regeneration plans for the next few years. They aim to improve the town and are judging reaction to the possible removal of the Shelley Fountain and how that central spot could be better used.

Resident views and competition

The whole process will allow developers to better understand resident views and to make plans based on local opinions. A competition is currently running for children and adults to send in their town centre designs, which will be displayed in Swan Walk in April.

The competition will have three categories: under 11s, 11 to 16 years olds and adults.

These development plans come in the same week that Beales department store officials announced it would be closing down in the summer.
