FREE Horsham music festivals this Summer

horsham garden music festival

From May to September each year, Horsham District Council arrange an array of free concerts for the public to enjoy during the warmer months. Expect a host of musical delights from many of Horsham’s local bands with everything from jazz to brass bands.

Here’s whats on this summer:

Summer Sounds in the Carfax

These sessions will take place on the bandstand from 11am to 1pm every Saturday until the end of September. It’s your chance to see local bands and groups perform great music whilst you sit with the family and enjoy the music and (hopefully) sunshine!

There will also be a set of afternoon concerts from 2pm to 4pm starting on the 3rd of May and finishing in early September. Pop along to enjoy some good music or a children’s entertainer on Saturday afternoon’s in August! What could be better way to unwind after a busy shopping session?

Summer Sounds in Horsham Park

Local bands will be playing from 2.30pm to 4.30pm every Sunday until the end of August in Horsham Park. Look out for The Mid Sussex Brass Band, Slinfold Concert Band, Horsham Borough Band and more. A superb way to spend a Sunday chilling in the park listening to the sounds of Horsham and supporting local talent.

Horsham Garden Music Festival

First established in 2012, the Horsham Garden Music Festival celebrates local musical talent whilst showing the people of Horsham a good time! It’s a great way to show your support for bands based in the area as well as raising money for charity.

As it’s a festival, the event comes complete with a great atmosphere and in the last few years people have made the most of the catering stalls and beer tents to get a true taste of summer. The grassy slopes of the garden are also ideal for family picnics, so don’t forget to bring a blanket!

The concerts take place in the Human Nature Garden on the weekends from Saturday 16th of July to the Sunday 24th of July. This year the free events start at 1pm and finish at 5pm with the following line-up:

Saturday 16th July, Acoustic & Folk

Sunday 17th July, Musical Medley

Saturday 23rd July, Music from Stage and Screen

Sunday 24th July, Rock Concert
