What to do for Valentine’s Day 2018

Valentine's Day

It’s that time of year again when the annual day of love aka. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It’s time to turn up the romance and plan the perfect evening to share with your loved one.

Not sure what to do? Here’s our guide on what to do this Valentine’s Day in Horsham.

Indulge in Afternoon Tea

On the 14th February, The Three Crowns in Wisborough Green are celebrating love with a delicious afternoon tea. They want everyone to celebrate this day with their nearest and dearest and so they are freshly preparing sandwiches, scones and a selection of indulgent cakes for everyone to enjoy. Gather all of your loved ones together and head down for 3pm to spoil yourself with some tasty treats.

Later on in the evening, their sharing menu will be available with delicious pairings such as Champagne and Oysters, and Cherries and Kirsch. Make sure you book in advance as you won’t want to miss this.

Date Night at Cisswood House Hotel

Every Friday night is Date Night at The Cisswood House Hotel. Save your Valentine’s Day until Friday 16th February and you can enjoy three courses and a glass of fizz for just £25.00 per person.

The Cisswood House Hotel is a beautiful, traditionally decorated Country House Hotel set in beautiful grounds in a remote location in West Sussex and it would make the perfect setting for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.

Why not turn it into a cute getaway and enjoy an overnight stay in one of their elegantly decorated rooms? It would definitely impress your significant other!

Flowers

Make your loved one smile this Valentine’s Day and surprise them with a beautiful, traditional bunch of flowers. Fleurs, based in Horsham town centre, has an unrivalled passion for vintage flowers and offer handpicked gifts to make your gift extra special.

Alternatively, stop by Stems of Southwater, an independent florist specialising in bespoke creations so that you can add that personal touch to your arrangement.

Take a romantic walk

If you fancy taking a romantic stroll to spend quality time with your loved one on Valentine’s Day, you have endless options in and around the Horsham Area.

Knepp Castle Estate is home to 16 miles of public and permissive footpaths within the Knepp Rewilding project, which covers an area of 3,500 acres. If you are looking for a walk full of wildlife then definitely head here.

You could also visit Sumners Pond in Barns Green where there are some lovely walks. Get lost in the woodland and walk around the fishing lakes hand in hand. You can even stop off at The Cafe by the Lake afterward for a romantic drink and delicious slice of cake right on the lakeside with a beautiful view.
