Pub Gardens In Horsham And The Surrounding Villages

From 12th April 2021, Coronavirus lockdown rules have been relaxed and local shops, hairdressers and pubs and restaurants with gardens are now allowed to open their doors. In Horsham and the local villages, we have a wealth of lovely pubs with wonderful outdoor areas that are perfect for meeting up with friends and enjoying a meal out alfresco.

Take a look at our guide below, which details some of the local pubs that are offering outdoor dining from 12th April.

The Bear – Horsham

The Bear is situated right in the centre of Horsham at 17 Market Square. It features a courtyard garden area that has lots of outdoor seating, as well as new tables and chairs out the front of the pub so even more local residents can enjoy a drink and some pub grub!

All tables are available for pre booking by messaging the pub on their Facebook page

The Norfolk Arms – Horsham

Open Monday – Saturday 12pm-11pm and on Sunday 12pm-10pm, you can enjoy a lovely cold drink and delicious food seven days a week at The Norfolk Arms. Just on the outskirts of Horsham on Crawley Road, there’s no need to book into the beer garden to enjoy a fresh pint – just turn up!

All orders are table service only and you can even enjoy a wide range of different food offerings with their Tuck Truck service, which sees different food vans park up at the pub.

The Tipsy Fox – Southwater

The Tipsy Fox in Southwater have been busy since they’ve been closed during lockdown, with the addition of two huge marquees in their garden, as well as an amazing children’s play area. 

The bar and kitchen are open on the following days and times:

  • Bar: Monday – Wednesday 12pm – 10pm, Thursday – Saturday 12pm – 11pm, Sunday 12pm – 10pm
  • Kitchen: Monday – Friday 12pm – 3pm / 5pm – 9pm, Saturday 12pm – 9pm, Sunday 12pm – 5pm

The Cricketers Arms – Wisborough Green

If you’re looking for a country style pub with amazing scenery, visit The Cricketers Arms in Wisborough Green. Situated right in the heart of the village green, a new large outdoor seating area has been installed so you can enjoy nature whilst you eat and drink. They have even added a covered marquee area to protect you from the everchanging British weather!

Open seven days a week, you can book yourself a table on their website.

The Crabtree – Lower Beeding

Fancy a bit of a treat? The Crabtree in Lower Beeding is known for its amazing food and excellent service. They have an expansive lawn area with picnic tables and parasols that are perfect for alfresco dining. The team have even put together a special alfresco menu specifically for their reopening.

Whilst booking isn’t essential, it’s recommended so that you are guaranteed a table. Visit their website to contact them about booking.

The Sussex Oak – Warnham

Another local pub that has done some work whilst closed during lockdown, The Sussex Oak has revamped their outdoor area and now have a stylish giant tipi for undercover dining, as well as picnic tables out in the open to enjoy some lovely sunshine when the weather is good. 

The Warnham pub will be serving food and drinks seven days a week and urge people to book by emailing them on [email protected].
